Services

Traditional Birth Companion

You remain in control of your health choices, and will be supported with knowledge, wisdom, prayer, and useful skills. This is relational woman-to-woman care, not a medical service. We will get to know each other, and accompany you on your journey through early motherhood.

We will seek to meet your personal needs including informational, spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical, through prenatal visits, home birth support, and postpartum visits.

Postpartum Care

This is so you can rest, recover, be pampered, or helped however you need in your specific life circumstances. You need to be cared for, so that you can care for your baby. You are his or her natural habitat 9 months in, 9 months out. Care can include being company for you, discussing baby care, giving you a massage, doing some light housework or cooking, watching baby so you can take a bath or sleep or do whatever you need to. Think of me like I’m your sister or BFF. Just ask!

Daytime & Overnight care available.

Childbirth Education

At Yalad, birth education is rooted in God’s Word and His physiological design of women’s bodies and the birth process. Instruction is based on the out-of-system home birth setting and spontaneous labour. Birth is not a medical event but a normal physiological body process.

Fear has no place in pregnancy and birth. Combat the fear the world gives with faith, knowledge, and wisdom. Learn what women today don’t know they’re missing out on.

“The more I learn about birth… the more I realize women don’t know what they’re missing out on.”

— Bethany Brown, Founder, Yalad Perinatal Care

  • Bethany was so helpful during my pregnancy. Making herself available and having a comforting presence. When it was time to give birth, I felt l had a younger sister at my side. Thank you Bethany for all you did for our little family. We are so grateful!

  • Bethany was a wonderful person to have as support during my post partum period. She is one of the hardest working people I have ever had the pleasure to work with and it gave me great comfort knowing that she was there to support and offer a helping hand. She was fantastic with my new baby. I highly recommend her services.

  • Bethany has been such a blessing for my family the last few months.

She was always pleasant, reliable, flexible, and eager to learn. She took the time to get to know my baby and my needs and was always patient with my requests. Though she is relatively new to this field of postpartum work, she was always willing to learn, and used a gentle and steadfast approach in caring for my son. While Bethany watched and cared for my baby, I was able to get some rest, do self-care, attend appointments, and even set up my private practice while on mat leave! I would highly recommend Bethany to anyone looking for her service and will be continuing to reach out to her to care for my kids. Thank you Bethany!
